ORDERING YOUR PRESCRIPTION SUNGLASSES
USING EXTREME-EYEWEAR.CO.UK - PRESCRIPTION SUNGLASSES AND SPORT EYEWEAR
When it comes to technical eyewear and sunglasses, there are so many different shapes and sizes that each pair has to be given its own prescription range.
WHY DO WE DO THIS?
It is esssential that your eyewear fits comfortably and that we are able to maintain the shape and front curve of the sunglasses/eyewear. If a sunglass/eyewear is not available in your prescription, unfortunately, it means the eyewear would simply not be wearable if we made it up.
GETTING STARTED - YOUR PRESCRIPTION
Please ensure your prescription's sight test date is within the past two years and that you are 18 or over. This is a requirement for all internet orders.
READING YOUR PRESCRIPTION
Your prescription is always in two sections, your right eye and your left eye.

NOTE: The Sphere and Cyl can be written in either – (minus) or + (plus). It is essential the correct symbol is selected for these values.
ENTERING YOUR PRESCRIPTION INTO THE SITE
On the home page, there are drop-down menus where you can enter your prescription.
Go through the pop-down menus and select the correct values as stated on your prescription, making sure you select the correct - or + symbols for the Sphere and Cyl (the axis is always just a value with no -/+ symbol).
If you find the infinity symbol (∞) or the word 'Plano', this should be treated as zero (leave at 0.0).
Note: if you can not find your figure in the drop-down menus, don't forget you can scroll the menus up or down.
FILTERING YOUR SEARCH FURTHER
Once you’ve entered your prescription, you can reduce the results further should you wish via two options:
- Brand of interest
- Intended Sport/Use
Just leave these menus set to 'any' if you don't wish to filter the results.
Finally, click ‘find eyewear’ to show all the prescription sunglasses/eyewear available in your prescription.
PURCHASING YOUR CHOSEN EYEWEAR
Once you have chosen the frame/goggle you wish to purchase, there are three sections to choose from, which are located on the bottom of the product page (below the description of the sunglass/ eyewear).
NON-PRESCRIPTION
For any order that doesn't require an optical correction (as if you were buying out a shop cabinet)
PRESCRIPTION - DIRECT GLAZE
This is the sunglass/eyewear fully fitted with your prescription. The prescription lenses are fitted into the whole frame (like your normal glasses). The total price shown includes the frame and prescription lenses together.
PRESCRIPTION - OPTICAL INSERT
This is where you are supplied with the sunglasses/eyewear and a prescription optical insert that has been fully fitted with your prescription lenses. The total price is for the frame and insert fitted with your prescription insert together (this correction more commonly used for sport).
Choose your required frame and lens options from the drop-down menus, then add the product to the basket, using the corresponding 'add to basket' button.
The prescription for that item will be shown to you in the basket - please check this against your copy before proceeding to payment.
You can then enter a new prescription on the home page, and purchase more items, for the new prescription.
Once you happy with your order, confirm you have read our terms and conditions, that you have a valid prescription, and are at least 18 years old, by ticking the corresponding boxes. Then click 'checkout' to proceed to pay securely via Paypal.
